Happy Halloween From the Little Family Behind Ritner Digital 🎃

Most days, if you're hearing from Ritner Digital, we're talking about SEO, websites, content, search visibility, or another corner of digital marketing. Today, though, I wanted to do something a little different.

I just wanted to say Happy Halloween—and introduce you to the little family behind Ritner Digital.

A Small Business With a Very Personal Why

If you're new here, Ritner Digital isn't a big agency with layers of account managers. It's my independent freelance digital marketing practice. I'm Cara, the person behind the strategy, the writing, the research, and the work.

It's also a business I'm building alongside one of the most important parts of my life: being a mom.

I have two little ones, Brayden, who is three and almost four, and Isabella, who is two. They're funny, busy, curious, and very good at reminding me that there's more to life than an SEO report or an overflowing to-do list.

One of the reasons I chose to build an independent practice was the chance to do work I care about while being present for more of the everyday moments that matter to our family. The school days, the little outings, the activities, the spontaneous laughs—those things mean everything to me.

So when someone chooses Ritner Digital for a project, they're supporting more than a small marketing business. They're supporting a mom building a career and a life that lets her show up for her kids.

That's something I don't take lightly.

A Little Philadelphia, a Little Automotive Marketing, and a Lot of Family

I'm engaged to Jimmy, who works in auto sales. If you've ever wondered where some of my enthusiasm for automotive marketing and SEO comes from, he's absolutely part of the story. His perspective has helped make the automotive world especially interesting to me.

Jimmy also grew up in South Philadelphia, which is part of the personal connection behind the Ritner Digital name—a nod to Ritner Street. Philadelphia isn't just a market or a keyword to us. It's part of our family's story.

And yes, we're the kind of family that cheers for the Eagles, Sixers, Phillies, and Flyers. We're not particularly subtle about our love of Philly sports.

Outside of marketing, our favorite moments are usually pretty simple: spending time together, heading to Brigantine or Wildwood in the summer, enjoying everything fall brings, and looking forward to winter traditions like going out to see Christmas lights.

We're also lucky to have my mom and dad—better known in our family as Cici and Jojo—sharing those memories with us. You can spot them in our Halloween family illustration, too.

This Year's Halloween Crew

This Halloween, Brayden is Marshall and Isabella is Skye from PAW Patrol. And because our kids love the Minions, we've become a very Minions-friendly household ourselves.

One of Bella's favorite things to say right now is "banana." If you have a Minions fan at home, you'll understand why that gets a laugh out of us every time.

The illustration we're sharing here is a little snapshot of our crew and the things that make this season fun. It isn't a marketing campaign or a polished brand announcement. It's just our family saying hello.

And honestly, that's part of why I wanted to share it.

Thank You for Supporting a One-Person Practice

When you run a solo business, every inquiry, referral, kind message, introduction, and project matters. There's no giant team behind Ritner Digital. There's one person who cares deeply about doing good work—and a little family cheering her on.

To the clients who have trusted me with their businesses, thank you. To the people who have reached out about working together, recommended Ritner Digital, shared a post, or simply offered encouragement, thank you, too.

The support doesn't go unnoticed. It gives me the opportunity to keep doing work I love while building the kind of everyday life I want to be present for.

You don't have to be a client to be part of that encouragement, and you don't have to run a big company for your support to mean something. Sometimes sharing a small business with a friend makes a real difference.

So today, instead of another SEO checklist or marketing deep dive, here's a little Halloween hello from the people who make my work meaningful.

From our little family to yours, Happy Halloween! 🎃

Thank you for being here, for supporting independent businesses, and for being part of the Ritner Digital story.
