The Counsel Template, built for Squarespace.

What is the Counsel Template?

It’s an elevated website for small law practices: a homepage that walks visitors from your practice areas to your attorneys to a free consultation, plus practice area pages, attorney bios and a journal, all built as custom code on Squarespace. I set it up with your firm’s brand, photos and words.

Why it matters

Most law firm sites are either dated or generic, and clients judge a firm by its website before they ever call. This one looks calm and trustworthy, makes the next step obvious on every screen, and is built by an SEO practice so people searching for help can find you.

01 · See what’s inside

Pages included

Every page a small firm needs.

You get five page types, ready for your firm: an 11-section homepage, a page for each practice area, a bio page for each attorney, a journal for plain-English posts, and a contact page and footer with your office details and an attorney-advertising disclaimer.

  • Attorney bios

Practice area cards

Show clients exactly how you can help.

Each area of law gets a card on the homepage with a photo, a one-line promise and the services underneath, like divorce, custody and support under family law. Every card links to its own page, so visitors find the right help in one click. Add or remove areas to match your practice.

03 · Built to bring in clients

Built to convert

The next step is always one tap away.

A free-consultation button sits in the nav, the hero and the closing section, and phone numbers are tap-to-call on mobile. A friendly consultation section explains what to bring, and the questions section answers the worries that stop people from calling.

04 · Built to bring in clients

Trust and search

Credible to clients, readable by search engines.

Every page has one clear H1, real text and headings in order, so search engines and AI tools can read it. The footer carries a standard attorney-advertising disclaimer to adapt to your state bar’s rules, and the reviews section is built for your real, verified client reviews.

  • Clear headings
  • Disclaimer
  • Verified reviews
  • Local details
  • Mobile ready

Illustrative search result.

05 · Done for you

Setup and support

I set it up. You practice law.

This is a done-for-you template. I gather your logo, colors, attorney photos and copy, set up every section for your firm, review it with you and launch, with 30 days of fixes after. Then monthly support keeps it current: new journal posts, new pages and changes whenever you need them.

Questions

Is the demo a real law firm?

No. Ashby & Lorne, the attorneys and the reviews are fictional, made to show how the template looks with real content. Your site launches with your firm, your attorneys and your verified reviews.

Can you match my firm’s brand colors?

Yes. The demo uses navy, white and red, but colors, fonts and photos are all set to your brand during setup.

What if we have more than two attorneys?

The attorney section grows with your team. Each attorney gets a card on the homepage and their own bio page.

Do I need photos?

Professional attorney portraits make the biggest difference. If you don’t have them, I can help you plan a shoot or create polished placeholder images to start.

Which Squarespace plan do I need?

One that allows custom code: Core, Plus or Advanced, or a legacy Business or Commerce plan. Basic and Personal plans don’t support it.
