Calendar(05)
A schedule that actually holds.

Most content plans fall apart in the second month. I set a pace your team can keep, a simple workflow with clear owners, quick approvals and a calendar that plans around your busy seasons, so publishing just keeps happening.

What is an editorial calendar?

An editorial calendar is the schedule behind your content: what’s being published, when, where and who’s responsible for each step. A good one also shows what’s in progress, so nothing gets stuck waiting on someone.

Why it matters

Consistency is what makes content work. Search engines and AI tools reward sites that keep publishing useful pages, and customers trust a business that’s clearly active. A calendar turns “we should post more” into posts that actually go out.

01 · Set the pace

Publishing cadence

Steady beats busy.

Four posts in one week and nothing for two months helps no one. I set a pace your team can genuinely keep, usually a post a week, an email a month and a video every other week, and spread the work out so something useful goes out every single week.

02 · Keep it moving

Workflow

Every step has an owner.

Content stalls when nobody knows whose turn it is. I set up a short, clear workflow (brief, interview, draft, review, publish, share) with one owner and a time for each step. You spend about 45 minutes per post, mostly talking about what you already know.

03 · Keep it moving

Approvals

Approved in a day, not three weeks.

Most content dies waiting for sign-off. I keep it simple: one reviewer, one round of comments written straight into the draft, and a friendly reminder if it sits. For regulated businesses, I build in a compliance check without slowing everything else down.

04 · Plan ahead

Seasonal planning

Publish before the rush, not during it.

Every business has busy seasons, and people start searching before they arrive. I map yours across the year and schedule the matching content about six weeks ahead, so it’s live, indexed and ready when demand peaks, along with holiday hours and seasonal updates.

05 · Plan ahead

Calendar tools

No new software to learn.

I set the calendar up in tools you already use, whether that’s Google Calendar, a shared drive, a project board or a simple spreadsheet, with reminders before each deadline. Everyone who needs it can see what’s coming, and nobody has to learn a new system.
