Show up on the map where your customers are.

When someone nearby searches for what you do, Google shows a map and three businesses before anything else. I work on what decides who gets those spots, and the details that prove you’re the best answer close by.

What is local SEO?

Local SEO is everything that helps you show up when people search for a service near them: the map results, the three-business “local pack” and searches with a town name or “near me” in them. It covers your Google Business Profile, your listings across the web, your reviews and the local pages on your site.

Why it matters

For a business that serves a local area, the map is often where the phone calls come from. Google decides who shows up based on how relevant you are to the search, how close you are and how well-known and well-reviewed you are. You can’t move your building, but you can improve almost everything else.

01 · Get on the map

Map pack

The three businesses Google shows first.

Google picks the map results based on relevance, distance and prominence. You can’t change how far a searcher is from you, but you can make your profile and site clearly match what people search for, and build the reviews, links and mentions that make you the obvious choice.

02 · Get on the map

Citations

Get listed where it counts.

Citations are listings of your business on other sites: Apple Maps, Bing, Yelp, industry directories and your chamber of commerce. A handful of accurate, complete listings on sites people actually use matters far more than hundreds on directories nobody visits. I find the ones that count, fix them and merge the duplicates.

03 · Get on the map

NAP consistency

Same name, address and phone, everywhere.

When your name, address and phone number differ across the web, from an old number to “Ste 2” versus “Suite 200,” Google and customers can’t be sure which is right. I track down every version and make them match your Google Business Profile exactly.

04 · Build local pages

Service-area pages

For businesses that go to their customers.

If you work at customers’ locations, like a mobile repair service or a contractor, I build pages for the areas you really serve, each with real jobs, local details and reviews from that area. No copy-and-paste pages with only the town name changed.

05 · Build local pages

Location pages

One strong page for every real location.

If you have more than one shop or office, each one deserves its own page with its address, hours, map, photos, the people who work there and reviews from that location. It helps the right location show up for the right search, and gives customers everything they need to visit.

06 · Earn trust

Review strategy

A steady stream of honest reviews, and a reply to every one.

Reviews are one of the strongest local signals, and they’re what customers read before they call. I set up a simple way to ask every customer after a job, help you reply to each review, good or bad, and keep it all within Google’s rules: no buying reviews and no filtering out unhappy customers.
