Console(06)
See your site the way Google does.

Google Search Console is free, and it shows what people searched to find you, which pages Google has indexed and what’s broken. I set it up, check it every week and turn it into a monthly report you can actually read.

What is Google Search Console?

It’s Google’s free tool for site owners. It shows the searches your site appears for, how many people click, which of your pages are in Google’s index and which aren’t, and any problems Google runs into while crawling your site.

Why it matters

It’s the only place you get this data straight from Google. Without it you’re guessing which searches bring in customers, missing pages that quietly dropped out of Google and finding out about problems months late. With it, every SEO decision is based on real numbers.

01 · See your data

Setup and verification

Set up once, and set up right.

I set up a Domain property, which covers every version of your site (http, https, www and any subdomains) in one place, and verify it through your DNS. Then I give the right people the right level of access, link it to Google Analytics and make sure issue alerts reach someone who’ll act on them.

Performance reports

What people searched, and what they clicked.

The Performance report shows the searches you appeared for, how often people clicked and where you ranked, page by page. Google has also started adding a separate view for AI Overviews and AI Mode. I filter out searches for your own name, so you can see whether you’re actually reaching new customers.

03 · Track and fix

Index coverage

Every page Google should know about, in Google.

The Page indexing report, which used to be called Index Coverage, shows which pages Google has indexed and why the rest aren’t. Some are left out on purpose, like redirects and pages set to noindex. I fix the ones that aren’t, then ask Google to check the fixes.

04 · Track and fix

Query tracking

The searches that matter, watched every month.

I track the searches that bring in business: where you rank, how often you show up and how often people click. Searches stuck on page two show where a page needs work, and searches where you’re seen but rarely clicked usually just need a better title. If a valuable search has no page at all, that’s the next page to build.

05 · Track and fix

Sitemaps

A clean list of the pages you want found.

Your sitemap tells Google which pages matter. I make sure it lists only real, live pages (no redirects, broken links or noindex pages), remove old sitemaps left over from previous sites, submit it in Search Console and check that Google keeps reading it.

06 · Report

Monthly reporting

What happened, why, and what’s next.

Every month you get a short report in plain English: what changed, why it changed and what I’m doing next. It combines Search Console with Analytics so you see the leads, not just the rankings. Search Console only keeps 16 months of data, so I save every month for year-over-year comparisons.
