Migrations(05)Move platforms without losing ground.
I move your site to a new platform or design without losing the rankings and links you’ve built: every old page mapped and redirected, every page, post and image moved, a launch checklist and three months of watching the traffic afterward.

What is a website migration?
A website migration is moving your site to a new platform, design or address, like WordPress or Wix to Squarespace, while keeping everything that already works: your content, your old links and the search rankings you’ve built over the years.
Why it matters
Done carelessly, a new website can quietly lose years of search traffic. Old pages that other sites link to break, Google can’t find what moved, and rankings slip. A planned migration keeps that value and gives you a clean, faster site to build on.
01 · Map and move
Redirect maps
Every old address goes somewhere.
I crawl your current site and pull every page Google knows about, then map each old address to its new one with a permanent 301 redirect. Pages that other sites link to get extra care, because those links carry real search value.

02 · Map and move
Content moves
Everything comes with you.
Every page, blog post, image, form and review moves over, with the details that matter for search kept intact: meta titles, post dates and authors, image alt text. Nothing gets quietly left behind, and everything is counted and checked.

03 · Switch and launch
WordPress to Squarespace
Less to maintain, same results.
Moving from WordPress, Wix or an old custom site to Squarespace means no more plugins to update, no separate hosting bill and editing anyone can do. I rebuild your design with custom code where needed so the new site looks as good or better, then move everything over.

04 · Switch and launch
Launch checks
A checklist, then a quiet launch.
Before going live, I run through a launch checklist: redirects, forms, analytics, call tracking, SSL, sitemaps, meta titles and your Google Business Profile link. The switch happens at a quiet hour, and the old site is kept as a backup just in case.

05 · Watch it
Traffic monitoring
Three months of watching after launch.
A small dip right after a move is normal; a long slide isn’t. I watch your search traffic, rankings, 404 errors and indexing weekly for three months after launch, and fix anything that comes up before it costs you.
